All furniture is made from Hard Woods. This list is not exhaustive, but consists of more readily available varieties.
English Oak
Open grain. Darker and more varied
European Oak
Light open grain. Often easier to obtain
Cherry
Varied grain. Often pale pinkish brown
American Cherry
Red to reddish brown. Often with attractive figure
Ash
Open course grain. Often has effective contrasting figure
Beech
Close grain. Pale and slightly reddish
Maple
Close grain, very pale. Very hard and durable
Walnut
Dark rich brown. Quality boards often difficult to obtain
